Write for us

We welcome thoughtful pitches about creative practice, writing, drawing, materials and the ways ideas become finished or ongoing work. Send proposals through the Contact page; a clear, focused note is more useful than a finished draft sent without context.

What we like to read

A strong contribution starts with a precise question or observation and gives readers something to understand, compare or try. We welcome clear explanations, considered comparisons, useful histories and modest exercises that can be approached with ordinary materials. Pitches should suit an unhurried, curious readership and avoid claims that one creative method works for everyone.

What to include

Tell us the proposed subject, the main point you want readers to take away, why it suits Bold Weekly Bulletin, and how you would develop it. Mention any relevant experience that helps explain your angle, but do not assume credentials are required. Disclose relevant commercial interests and tell us whether the proposal has been offered elsewhere.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A short outline is enough for an initial pitch; please do not send confidential material or include facts you cannot support. We cannot promise to accept or respond to every proposal, and an invitation to discuss an idea is not a commitment to publish.
